Swaged steel ropes for skidding
Swaged
ropes are used in winches and forest tractors to secure logs.
The
special construction of 6x26WS+IWRC swaged skidding ropes and the
process of forging from a larger diameter make the metallic density of
the cross-section much higher than in the case of typical ropes, which
translates into exceptional breaking strength (strength class 2160N).
The
surface of swaged ropes (hammered) is smooth, reducing friction and
thus the risk of damage to the strand wires.
Additional
lubrication of swaged ropes increases corrosion resistance and internal
friction between the strand wires.
Goralmet swaged
ropes for skidding are available in diameters from 10 to 13 mm, on
reels, in coils of 50 m / 70 m length or in a custom length at the
customer's request.
